Tansi, Aba Washded, Ahneed, Welcome. My name is Crystal Wood and I live in Treaty Six Territory near Spruce Grove, Alberta. The creation of this website comes from a passion of including Indigenous Ways of Knowing into everyday life, the community and especially in education. The Master’s degree program that I am currently enrolled in, which is the Professional Master’s of Education for Aboriginal Studies (through Queen's University) is allowing me to compile information I already know, research, explore and speak with community members on Indigenous ways of Knowing and how to to include it the classroom, and community. The spirit of my work is published here. While much of the information can be applied everywhere, the information and adaptations are included for educators and community members living near Spruce Grove, AB. I hope you find this website helpful in your journey of including Indigenous ways of knowing.
